Evie Shockley - BioEvie Shockley is the author of a half-red sea (2006) and The Gorgon Goddess (2001), both published by Carolina Wren Press. Her poetry appears or is forthcoming in such journals and anthologies as 1913, Hambone, CutBank, Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Talisman, The Ringing Ear: Black Poets Lean South, and The Bedside Guide to No Tell Motel – Second Floor. She recently guest edited a special issue of MiPOesias featuring contemporary African American poets. Shockley teaches at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. |
