About the Poems
by Nava Fader
With the door closed in the bathroom, the "interviews" in my youth were lengthy and dramatic. As for these poems, I'll say that I like to find the plain language that is turned poignant, so that we hear it, are whacked with it. Parts of these poems are taken from Basil Bunting poems and letters and parts from the Audubon Society calendar, and they are dismantled and frankensteined, out of context, in new context. The monster lives.
