by Robyn Art On "The Adventures of Beauty Girl": These poems were written in a hallucinatory combination of utter and massive exhaustion-cum-over-caffeination, a state effected by the care and keeping of my Insomniac-Cyborg infant daughter, Titania (a.k.a., "Beauty Girl") who keeps me sleepless and humble. Part futile attempt to reconcile the day's infernal To-Do's with the mind-blowing, waterboarding-like fatigue of early motherhood, part exhaltation and awe at the joy of watching her discover our crazy and treacherous world, "The Adventures of Beauty Girl" is a whacked-out navigation across the weirdly euphoric landscape of bottomless torture and love...
