About the Poems
by Jordan Davis I want to say the poems speak for themselves but if there is anything certain about poems it is that they do not speak. Neither for that matter do the subjects of these poems – a ceremonial audience, commuters, the moon, other writers and absent parents, reality even. Those are very different silences, and I wrote these poems to make something of them, for them, to thank them for letting me think.
