Kate Schapira - Bio

Kate Schapira lives in Providence, RI, where she writes, teaches, and organizes the Publicly Complex Reading Series. She's the author of several chapbooks, including Phoenix Memory (horse less press), Case Fbdy. and The Painting (Rope-A-Dope Press), and The Love of Freak Millways and Tango Wax (forthcoming from Cy Gist Press). She's proud of recent acceptances to and appearances in A Sing Economy (Flim Forum Press), New Pony (horse less press), Narwhal (Cannibal Books), Aufgabe, Open Letters Monthly, Action, Yes and Women's Studies Quarterly. She also makes chapbooks at home, and recently edited and published a mini-anthology of heteronymic writing called Leopard Print: Twelve Writers Change Their Spots.
