by Paul Siegell me: YES!!! i've got about 30 minutes to go! dude, so glad we've been chatting WHAT ELSE???? Jacob: so much gladness! me too. i would LOVE it if you could come out here sometime. maybe occasioned by visiting your publisher, but otherwise when there's an event worthy of an epic trip (i can think of a few!) let's keep the conversation about it going. me: an epic trip... YESSSSSSS!!! jacob, i'm online every day i live on gmail it's pathetic, ha but i have this job and they've no idea what i do all day they give me things to write and usually i bang 'em out pretty quickly i spend most of my time writing and/or reading poetry and IMing and i get paid to do it!!! so, i'm here, brother. i'm here. Jacob: i'm easing into it. i often stay invisible or don't log on (i also don't have a computer-oriented job) but we can chat more now me: right, gotcha i sit in a gray cube under fluorescent lights button-down shirt and a belt no complaints so it goes glad to have it! Jacob: so it goes (Vonnegut?) me: HAHAHAHAHA "somewhere a big dog barked" i guess i spend about 10 hours a day on the computer maybe more it's a little ridiculous Jacob: well, you work with the written word me: but, that's where the words are! exactly ha Jacob: yeah i work with the spoken ones me: HAHAHAHA Jacob: and the uncomfortable silences me: yikes Jacob: ( ) me: ... Jacob: how did that feel? me: i filled it with something else HA isn't that what we do? hahahaha wanna know what i filled it with?
