About the Poems - SWAbout the Poemsby Stefi Weisburd My father-in-law forwards lots of email, most of which are political and make me cringe and rage, but every so often he sends something that piques my poetic attention. In this case, he sent a list of "typewriter" words such as "sweaterdresses" which is one of the longest words one can type with the left hand only on a qwerty keyboard. I thought it might be an interesting challenge to write poems for specific hands and fingers, just as if the word processor keyboard was equivalent to a piano's. It turned out to be much harder than I expected! |
