About the Poems
by Wendy Wisner When I was pregnant, one of my biggest worries was that I wouldn't have time to write once the baby came. This was true: having a newborn left me with very little extra time. But what I hadn't anticipated was how easily and with what urgency the poems would come. Once I found a brief moment to sit down and write, the poems seemed to be at my fingertips, and most were written in one draft.
