About the Poems

by Anji Reyner

The oldest poem, "Road Notes," was one of my contributions to a short-lived collaborative blog about footwear. There is an unpublished companion piece in which the car is more communicative.

In April 2009, I exchanged poems with my friend Sara for NaPoWriMo. I woke up on April 2 with mad love for a crooner I've seen in concert twice, resulting in "Threesome."

"Layover," "Ruts," and "Refuse" are part of my thesis manuscript, a collection largely about transportation.
