About the Poems
by Will Grofic “Poetry is about two things: love and death.” It may very well be a quote, but at this point it’s a poetry truism. I want to take one of the two things and stretch it to its unnatural progression. These are cemeteries, whether literal or figurative, most likely (hopefully?) both. The goal is to envision anything and everything as some sort of cemetery, which acts as a cathartic and artistic vitamin D pill and makes me a lot more optimistic in real life. I speak in the present tense because I've been writing this sequence now for over a year.
