About the Poems - CKAbout the Poemsby Craig Kirchner The look back at youth can take many forms including the cathartic as in "Crisis." "In Loving Memory" was scribbled while driving behind the Stratus. With all due respect I’m sure the tribute is sincere and just as sure misplaced. "Piccadilly" and "Red Light" were both written within the last year. Both poems had the end concept and last lines as the starting point, which made the process a lot of fun. "Recluse" is a poem I have been rewriting and renaming for 30 years and I doubt that this is the final version. It seems to evolve for me as does the human dynamic of lonely, which I used to put second to the dynamic of sex. As I get older lonely is gaining in the stretch. |
