Karl Parker BioKarl Parker BioKarl Parker has taught English at Cornell (in errant doctoral candidacy), Hunter College, and Auburn State Correctional Facility in Auburn, NY. He recently received an MFA in Poetry from the New School, where he worked most closely with Fanny Howe and David Lehman, whom he also assisted with The Best American Poetry 2004. Parker makes visual work as well, which, well, you really must see. His poems have appeared or will soon appear in Spoon River, Fence, Seneca Review, Downtown Brooklyn, Refuse Writing, canwehaveourballback, elevenbulls and thetiny. Parker received the 2004 Poetry Award from the National Arts Club, NYC. |
