About the Poems
by Shafer Hall In these poems I try to eat very complicated, very huge ideas and to digest them into simple, useful (nutritious) ingredients. I do not succeed, but I still find these poems very satisfying as accurate reflections of the fun and fear of relationships interpersonal and intrapersonal. All of these poems were written within a few months of each other several years ago, and it is very exciting for me to read them and to note in what ways I am improved and in what ways I am unchanged.
