Gary L. McDowell - Bio

Gary L. McDowell was born and raised in suburban Chicago. He received his BA from Northern Illinois University and is currently an MFA candidate in Poetry at Bowling Green State University. Beginning this summer, he will be taking over as Assistant Poetry Editor for Mid-American Review. His first chapbook, The Blueprint (Pudding House Publishing, 2005), appeared last year. His work has recently appeared in Pebble Lake Review, Bat City Review, The Tiny, The Mid-America Poetry Review, Inkpot, and others.
