by Robyn Art “Notes About His Hands” and “Myths About Certainty” are from a manuscript entitled Midnight in The Surgical Theater. Recently, I’ve been writing a lot of poems in a sort of lyric, fragmented-list form; somehow, these fragmented and indirectly-related consciousness streams are what make the most sense to me these days, particularly when it comes to the idea of love, commitment, relationships, etc., the definitions of which appear to shift from one minute to the next, the emotional parameters of which seem always to be in flux.”
