Jill's latest book is Harlot (No Tell Books, 2007).
Says Jill Alexander Essbaum about herself:
In 1999 I won a Bakeless Prize for my first book Heaven, and last year was spent writing under gracious funding from the NEA. Expect a chapbook of sonnets from Pecan Grove Press later this fall, and a full length manuscript when I find/impress/woo/cajole/bribe a publisher (anyone?). My favorite living poet is Simon Armitage and my favorite dead poets are Dickinson, Plath, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Vassar Miller. Other personal interests include devotions to the following people/topics: Jesus Christ, Old Time Radio, American Idol, conspiracy theories, Nick Cave.
I live and write in Austin, TX.
