About the Poems - DMAbout the Poemsby Didi Menendez "Oblivious" and "A Little Counter" were written in response to writers whose work I admire. "Dying Breed" and "What My Mother Saved" are flash backs of memory written in the format in which the "blast from the past" came to me in a rush of conscience and I wrote the poems as they came.... fast and fierce but never furious. "When I Said Goodbye" was written in response to someone I had said goodbye to and I am still to this date still trying to find a way to say adios which the real translation means "to god." Sometimes you have to leave things up to God anyway. |
