the fallacy of prose

I am here
barring no mood

in a poem the moon
always means something more

we came from Ireland
but we are not Irish

no matter what they tell you,
there are stupid questions

I started out writing poems
& fell into prose, she said,

never wanting return

& the church at the top of the hill
just a building
