Who's that Scary Monster that Stole the Snow

Janaka Stucky

She once was a knife in his
Desperate knuckles, pursuing desire
At the center of a magnet—

They had until
Spring, which was tomorrow
To find the beauty they feared
Most. Beneath them

Angels in the countless fathoms
Beat their flippers    tails & tentacles flailing

Such heat in the lightless depths stole the snow.
