Art in America

Patty Seyburn

Sixty-seven percent like a painting the size of a dishwasher perched over the loveseat
while eighty-eight favor a landscape, ideally water, preferred hues blue, green.

A wild animal is nice.

People, clothed in pursuit of leisure, nose and mouth tilted northwest as though they
can sense death taking the train down from Canada.

Those winters.
