“Which things are an allegory?” The anagogical sense regards the higher allegory
of the Most Blessed Trinity. Will we harvest gold in the azure vaults? or perhaps in
the harvest and flowers whose forms and colors fail to win the approval of the
Angels? To win our daily bread, the boy swings the incense burner like an indifferent
altar boy.
