Variations of a Brother War ( Probabilities Triptych ) - 1

J. A. Tyler

Ghosts

What it means to be a ghost is to reach for walnuts on the ground and not be able to grasp them. What it means to be a ghost is to dip into the river and not feel cold. What it means to be a ghost is to stare into the sun and not go blind. Miller turned ghost is Miller fallen from the peak of everything. Miller turned ghost means that the love Eliza has turns and a world peels. What it means to be a ghost is to eat apples, watching a river do what a river does.
