Messed Up Nature Poem - Part 3

Joseph Harrington

While one crane crawled to the barnyard,
the others croaked in the brush.
Peace be upon him (or her):
another evidence that only good
can come off-planet

I am a fish named after a month
what I am seeing
explains me:

look at me I’m a man speaking to men
I’m the spokesbeing for the earth,
speaking for dumb nature; look at me –
I’m a new man since yesterday

we live on a planet
with only one moon
for better or worse,
a blur of organic and art-
ifice, anyway it was always
coming to an end
